They are constructed of plastic and hanging on your tv so i wouldn't put anything heavy on them but will work nicely to hold things such as remotes, game controllers, wi-fi routers, figures and collectables, ect. My only regret is not buying 3 of them so i could utilize the whole width of my tv.
